Waste Management Technology  Holding B.V. develops sustainable solutions for waste management, advanced recycling, and clean energy production. Our mission is to reduce pollution, mitigate the impacts of climate change, and support African economic development through modern infrastructure
and proven technologies.

OUR VISION

Reducing the impact of climate change is a central pillar of our vision. By converting waste into clean energy and recycled raw materials, we significantly reduce emissions from landfills and open-air burning. Our objectives are to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, lower soil, air, and water pollution, build a strong local circular economy, and promote modern, clean industrial infrastructure, all aimed at creating a cleaner, more resilient, and more sustainable Africa.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to transform waste into valuable resources, generate stable low-carbon energy, and create local economic value. We provide end-to-end solutions, including collection, sorting, recycling, energy recovery, electricity sales, and marketing of recycled products. Our commitments are to reduce landfilling and eliminate open dumps, produce clean energy for cities and industries, train and employ local talent, and build sustainable circular value chains across Africa.

OUR STRATEGY

Our strategy encompasses multiple interconnected areas to ensure sustainable waste management and energy production. Our environmental strategy focuses on the drastic reduction of landfilling, elimination of illegal open-air burning, achieving a positive carbon footprint through waste recovery, and continuous environmental sanitation and remediation programs. The industrial strategy integrates every stage of waste management, including mechanized sorting centers, recycling lines for plastics, metals, paper, and organic waste, Waste-to-Energy units such as pyrolysis, gasification, biogas, and RDF, as well as emission control and filtration systems, all built to European-level performance and safety standards. Our collection strategy employs smart collection points with GPRS/IoT monitoring, fill-level sensors, fire and temperature detection, real-time monitoring, and automatic route optimization, supported by GPS-tracked logistics, waste transfer and consolidation centers, optimized urban and industrial zones, and community integration that includes informal collectors, training, and professional equipment to progressively structure the local waste ecosystem. The energy strategy produces low-carbon electricity sold through long-term power purchase agreements with utilities, industries, economic zones, and municipalities, as well as through mini-grids and micro-grids to electrify underserved areas and provide reliable energy for industrial operations. Our economic strategy emphasizes job creation, development of local industrial supply chains, sale of recycled materials and products, and strengthened energy and industrial sovereignty. In R&D and innovation, we focus on integrating, optimizing, and adapting proven technologies rather than manufacturing machines, optimizing Waste-to-Energy processes, selecting equipment from

international manufacturers, adapting facilities to local climates and logistical conditions, developing operational and maintenance protocols, implementing full digital monitoring (IoT, GPRS, SCADA), and continuously training local teams. Finally, our financial strategy relies on diversified revenue streams from waste collection and treatment, electricity sales, recycled materials, and products, complemented by public-private partnerships, international climate and development financing, and consolidation of dividends to the holding.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Our activities cover the full spectrum of sustainable waste management and energy solutions. Integrated waste management includes municipal and industrial collection, smart collection points, and sorting and transfer centers. In recycling and the circular economy, we focus on recycling plastics, metals, organic waste, and paper, selling recycled materials and products such as paving blocks, furniture, accessories, and technical raw materials, while creating local circular value chains. Our energy recovery efforts utilize pyrolysis, gasification, biogas and biomethane, and RDF/SRF to generate low-carbon electricity, which is then sold through power purchase agreements and mini-grids. Energy commercialization ensures long-term power contracts and reliable supply for industrial and municipal clients.

OUR SUBSIDIARIES

Congo Waste Management SARL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Waste Management Technology Holding B.V. Its activities include collection and sorting, industrial recycling, pyrolysis and gasification, electricity production, power purchase agreement energy sales, and the manufacturing and sale of recycled products. The company’s objective is to become Central Africa’s leading integrated Waste-to-Energy and circular economy platform.

GOVERNANCE

Our governance is guided by the principles of transparency, integrity, international compliance, and environmental responsibility. The structure consists of Waste Management Technology Holding B.V. in the Netherlands as the parent company, with Congo Waste Management SARL as its 100% owned subsidiary.

IMPACT

Our impact spans environmental, social, and economic dimensions. Environmentally, we lower greenhouse gas emissions, eliminate open dumps, and produce non-fossil energy. Socially, we create jobs, improve sanitation and living conditions, and develop technical skills. Economically, we promote local industrial development, strengthen regional economies, and contribute to national revenues.
